I took two 1.5 litre bottles of water and it wasn't enough. Had to fill one of them with river water at Colo Meroo. By the time I got back I had drunk all my water 4.5 litres. Saw quite a bit of wildlife. In particular a large black goanna about a metre long on the track descending into Colo Meroo. As soon as it saw me about 30 metres away it bolted and ran straight up a tree. Also saw several wood pidgeons and some tiny fantails with blue heads. Heard alot of rummaging in the undergrowth several times but didn't see what it was. During the last hour of the walk my left knee packed up and I couldn't walk down hill. Had to walk side-ways to get down the steep part at the end. On top of that my stomach was feeling pretty queasy probably due to the river water but it was better than getting hyperthermia. Was TOTALLY stuffed at the end.
